Viet Nam war was a black point on the American flag. There was an agreement to stop hostilities between North and Southern Viet Nam. Apriel 14^th 1975. Many soldiers came back from VN were depressed : 1980 : suicide rates were the same. Increased 80% suicides, and WWII vets were dying a day..a lot. Many dying from injuries, missing MIA's ( missing in action).

1982 : Astudent went to a competition and designed a memorial to Americans VN vets. Now, it as along the mall in Washington.

The war devastated the country and the countries around VN : Laos and Cambodia.

NIXOn went to China in 1872. He wanted to open trhe door for diplomatic relations. He met with the President. Strategic arms limitation talks. Brejnev was the prime minister. Limit the two antions on certain types of weapons and espacially on missiles.

They wanted to spy Nixon through wiretyping. NIXON prdered a cover up and ordered that the police and parties and government to say nothing. PEOPLE LOST THEIR JOBS OF THEY SAID IT.
